Webby Nomination: On April 11, 2006 Metaphor Studio was been nominated
for a Webby Award and People’s Voice Award, an annual competition
selecting the best in Web site design. The nominated site promotes and
administers auditions for the Opera Theatre and Music Festival of Lucca.
Held each summer in Italy, the Festival is an intensive, accredited
study program of The University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of
Music.
Metaphor’s Lucca site is one of five finalists in the
School/University category. Over 5,500 nominees were considered across
65 categories.
The 19th annual Webby Awards are the Internet’s
equivalent of the Oscar or Emmy, and are awarded by members of the
International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences. The Academy is dedicated to the creative, technical, and professional progress of the Internet and interactive media.
